Are you looking for help at getting your Adobe InDesign based content translated into different languages? We provide a full service translation for clients with InDesign files. Give us your InDesign files and we'll translate the content and get them back to you for your designers to complete.
With our advanced InDesign translation tools all you have to do is give us your InDesign files ( and any linked assets such as images etc.). We will import the content out of InDesign, push it into our translation management systems and complete the translation. Once the translation is complete we export the content and create a new InDesign file for the target language in exactly the same layout as the source language file.
Our highly competitive translation services ensure that you can get cost effective translations in almost any language and have them returned very quickly. With minimal import or handling fees and the best translations rates going our services will ensure you can get your publications live in any language.
Translating text from English to other languages can increase the volume of text from 5 to 30% more than the source text. This means you need to think about your layout and perhaps trim the content before you send through a version for translation. Cyrillic languages (Russian, Serbian etc) usually cause the greatest increase in the amount of text.
InDesign has known issues with fonts used for Indic languages (Hindi, Nepali, etc.) so while we can translate into these languages you will need to purchase an additional third party plug-in called IndicPlus - approximately USD25 for a single user licence - to help resolve these issue. This needs to be applied to the text areas in the translated file.
Overset text repositioning - as we are not designers we do not handle layout adjustments so this is something that your design team will need to adjust font sizes as necessary to fit the translated text.
Fonts - we do need the files packaged complete with fonts to ensure that text is not split inappropriately, without the correct fonts it can cause overset text which makes it harder to extract the content in whole words.
InDesign Version - we can work with CS3, CS4 or CS5 files
